Recap: The Capture of a Vigo

SV: The team completed the mission on Hoth, capturing Vigo Griff of the Black Sun and aiding Jedi Council Member Kiyana Elana.  Kiyana pledged her support and told the team where Joseph Gunner was heading for the next Star Map Piece: Dagobah.

While Sseyax, Tav and Jay were being escorted to Vigo Griff, Ki-Tal, Tas-Ar and Torin were trying to disable the shield generators.  Along the way, Torin hacked into the cameras to see the environment and what they should do.  They noticed Jay's team not going after the Hanger Bay Controls, and so Ki-Tal mentally talked with Tav to make sure everything was OK.  Tav assured them it was (Even though she and Sseyax were privately concerned about Jay's intentions) and so Torin and Ki-Tal and all kept going with their plan.

Thanks to Torin hacking and sneaking, the group easily got to the control room and were able to ambush the the Twi'Lek commanding the post.  Easily capturing the Twi'Lek, he showed surprise that Torin was still alive.  He revealed that he and Vigo Griff were the ones who had ambushed Torin and his father.  They had thought that only Lance had survived due to the Thousand Guns interfering.  Torin swore that he wanted to get his hands on Griff at this but thought better of it later.  Torin then hacked some droids to aid Tav and the rest.

Using Torin's computer techniques, the group again successfully sneaked to the Hanger Bay Control Room (leaving Tas-Ar behind), to take care of that mission as well.  This time, they fought a group of prepared humans, but they were no match to Ki-Tal's Force Abilities and Garm the Hunter's Grenades.  The group promptly surrendered.

Sseyax, Tav and Jay all went to the Hanger Bay, where they were met by various goons and an AT-AT staring right at them.  Sseyax and Tav were both concerned but Jay masterfully convinced Vigo Griff that he was an agent of Vigo Lando, sent here to help Griff get out of this situation.  Jay convinced Griff to leave the At-At, not attack the enemy with his ships (with the aid of a timely Sseyax Illusion of an attack) and to investigate the shield systems to capture the inflitrating team likely there.  Vigo Griff and four henchmen followed Jay and the rest to the Shield Room, finding it in disarray due to Torin, Ki-Tal, etc.

In the confusion, Tav and Sseyax warned the group to surrender to them; Vigo Griff refused and a short fight followed.  Sseyax cut Vigo Griff's legs off to defeat him, Tac defeated a couple of goons, and Torin's hacked droids defeated other droids, who in turn were killed by an ambushing Tas-Ar.  Succeeding in their mission, Jedi Councilor Kiyana praised the team.

On the Exetor, Kiyana Elana gave the team what the team was hoping; she agreed to help their cause on Coruscant, to win their freedom.  In addition, she told the team that Joseph Gunner was put in charge by Ayla to find the Star Maps, that Councilor Hajak was missing due to a personal vendetta, and that the public hearings on the Inquisitors were making them even more secretive.  Further more, in a quick ceremony, she declared that Tas-Ar, Tav and Sseyax were officially members of the Jedi Order (though suspended due to the warrants).  Sseyax remarked she wouldn't feel like a true jedi until Frey make her one.

After the meeting, Jay talked with Sseyax for a bit.  The two talked for a while on various topics, from the two disagreeing on the Jedi Policy of receiving children when they were young, to their family histories (or so Sseyax, her lack of one), to how Jay felt Sseyax was a "good jedi" and about the Inquisitors.

Jay then talked with Torin for a while, with Torin desiring Jay's help in interviewing Vigo Griff to learn more about what happened to his father on that fateful night.  Jay agreed, and the two went to Admiral Akbar for permission.  Admiral Akbar agreed, on the condition that Commander Terra Vicious was present at the questioning, a condition that was also agreed upon.  The meeting was to be held at a later time [next week].

Jay talked received a message from his old friend Senator Assistant Sorenson, who updated him on the latest updates.  Sorenson, like Kiyana, told Jay that the Inquisitors and their actions were being told about and talked about in public, but the Inquisitors were increasingly going quiet and almost even rogue, a troubling development.  Sorenson also told Jay that the Laughing Man, an aide of his Cousin, was likely himself a puppet of someone else, something Jay acknowledged but did not yet had a clue on.

Next Week, after some shopping and talking, the team will head to Dagobah, where things will really get wild!

"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes."

"That place... is strong with the dark side of the Force. A domain of evil it is. In you must go."

  1. Torin is the bane of the Black Suns and network security agents around the Galaxy if not the Universe.
