Epilogue: Waiting

Out of the 39 Capitol Ships that had fought in this great conflict, 7 ships had been destroyed, 14 ships had retreated due to damage and 10 ships had surrendered to one faction or another.  Now only three or four groups remained: The Imperial Forces (both Inquisitor and Non-Inquisitor), the Black Sun (which seemed to beginning to pull back, very unlike Vigo Lando), the Blue Sabers (which was trying to take down the Black Sun as much as possible) and of course, his group, the Techno Union.

Evan Hauser had been told by great-grandfather as a child about the legend of the Star Forge.  Family tradition stated that long ago the family had been among the first to have found the original Star Forge thousand of years ago, and that the goal of the family was to find it once more.  Some members had been explorers, others researchers and others pirates, among many other positions.  It had taken billions of credits and almost fifty years of work, but the Techno Union was finally so, oh so close to getting its investment back, and Hauser was finally going to accomplish his dream.

All he had to do was disable whatever fighter ship that emerged from Dagobah with the Star Map Data.  He knew that it would have the data.  Sure, he had to rely to piss-poor tracking devices at first, but now that he knew that the Star Forge pieces emanated a unique combination of radiation and radio waves that made it possible to get the pieces, he could get his hands on the family treasure.  That Forge, that emerald in his eye, it would finally be his!  HIS!  Then the universe would show the respect his family needed, nay, deserved!

Evan Hauser would gain what he required most.  He just needed to wait a little more time...
